WhatsApp to Introduce Event Sharing in One-on-One Chats

WhatsApp continuously innovates to enhance user experience, making conversations more dynamic and functional. The latest development is Whatsapp may introduce a feature that allows users to create and share events directly within individual chats.

Previously, event creation was restricted to group chats and community groups, helping users plan virtual meetings, celebrations, and gatherings. Now, WhatsApp is expanding this capability to individual chat, giving users more flexibility in organizing personal events.

According to WaBeta, this new feature is currently rolling out through the Android beta version 2.25.3.6 via the Google Play Beta Program, marking another step toward making WhatsApp a more versatile communication tool.

With this addition, coordinating meetings, tracking important deadlines, and planning special occasions become more convenient without relying on third-party calendar apps. It also helps avoid misunderstandings between two individuals by keeping discussions organized and clear.

A standout aspect of this feature is the ability to add a location or link it to an audio or video call, just like in group events. This makes it particularly useful for students and professionals, allowing both participants to view, accept, or decline the scheduled event as needed.

WhatsApp Business users can also benefit by setting project deadlines or payment reminders, streamlining their workflow. While the feature is currently in its beta phase, it is expected to be available to all users soon.
